I headed over to the historic Fort Worth
Stockyards, where I poked around and even saw a
cattle drive of Texas Longhorn Steers down the main
street.
I topped off the day with an authentic Texas steak
dinner at the internationally famous Cattleman’s
Restaurant. Now THAT’S BEEF!
Walking back to my car down Main Street in the
Stockyards district, the trees were full of hundreds
of birds. The sound of their chirping was so loud that
it was almost scary. It was kind of reminiscent of the
sound of the attacking birds in the Alfred Hitchcock
movie “The Birds”, which, oddly enough, I had just
watched on TV in Las Cruces two weeks before!

A water tower. The train has a round table just beyond.
Texas rush hour! :)
Cattle drive.
The cattle drive held twice daily.
The Wandering Hobo. In trouble again! :)
Night is falling on Fort Worth, Texas.
I headed back to Doug and Shirley's place after it got dark... around 6pm. End of a full day touring the area.
