I woke up to pouring rain, which lasted through most
of the day, though not quite as heavy in some areas.
On the I-45 going towards Houston, the driver’s side
windshield wiper flew off into oblivion. Needless to
say, stopping to retrieve it on the busy highway would
have been suicide, so I opted for an auto parts store
to get a replacement for it instead. Since it was raining, I just did a “drive-by tour” of Houston – something I became quite used to on the trip! I ended up in Ennis, TX that evening – just outside
of Dallas.
