SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - LAYOVER

Day 18 – Tuesday, January 1, 2002 This was one of the busy sightseeing days, where I spent the entire day in downtown San Antonio. First I toured the historic Alamo, where I learned about William Bennett Travis and Davy Crockett’s command of the men who battled courageously for independence for the state of Texas. I then strolled along the popular Riverwalk, where I enjoyed all the sights and sounds of this very trendy and interesting spot. I then went to a showing of the movie, “Alamo – The Price of Freedom” at the Imax theatre, and to the Texas Adventure. Once the sun had set I went back down to the Riverwalk to see it all decked out with Christmas lights. While there, I stopped off at Justin’s Ice Cream Parlor for their famous homemade ice cream. It was quite good, but at $2.95 per single scoop it had better be!

Here is an overview of San Antonio. Get a "feel" for this place with these videos!
