THE TEXAS TRIP - DAY 16

THE TEXAS TRIP - DAY 16 - Sunday, December 30, 2001

ODESSA, TEXAS TO AUSTIN, TEXAS

Fredricksburg, TX on the way to Austin, TX is a very interesting touristy type of small city. This was a long driving day – I saw a roadrunner scurrying across the highway in front of me, and also saw several cotton fields. In the evening I drove through the very picturesque towns of Fredericksburg, TX and Johnson City, TX on my way to Austin. The Christmas light displays in these towns were truly awesome!

Midland, Texas. I stopped in at the Dairy Queen for a bite, took this picture and then headed back on down the road.

Sign says "Who pulled the plug on Big Lake". haha

Being still the Christmas month, I was able to see some awesome displays yet. This is in Johnson City, Texas.

Johnson City, TX. What an awesome way to light up some mature trees!
