So here I am in Las Cruces, one last night hopefully. I had gone off to hike to where a Kmart was and some restaraunts etc. I was headed back in front of a school with several trees just full of crows. Sure made me feel like I was in Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Birds". Funny, because that movie was on TV the very next day. hehe
I was working on a new revised trip agenda crossing off some days because of the delay with the car. I just shuffled things around and cut out Big Bend National Park, but added a day upwards to Roswell, New Mexico to see the UFO museum. There were two day stays in the Texas cities and they ended up being one night stays or just a drive through. All was certainly not lost. You have to be flexible when travelling on a roadtrip.
