Monday would be one of the longest days visiting the mountains.

First stop on the list was Elbow Falls.

With the flooding earlier, this trail was badly eroded. Part of the main trail by the falls was closed as well so that you could not do the normal loop.

Sharon poses with the river behind her.

A view along the Elbow River.

Dean and Linda at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort.

Linda poses for a picture. The new boss here was working in the flower garden at the main lodge earlier this year and it looks great now.

Having a closer look at the flowers at the resort.

Here is a cub climbing a tree behind Theresa and Linda. Still not a real one and hopefully we would find a real bear for Theresa and Sharon to see on this trip to the mountains but that never happened no matter how hard i tried to look for one.

Here is a carved bear in Dead Mans Flats. It was the best that i could find for them so far. ;O) Theresa poses.

Theresa checks out the Indian Paint Brushes.

Lake Minneawanka is the next stop as we do the Lake Minneawanka Loop just opposite the turnoff into Banff.

Theresa and Linda enjoying the view and the colors of the water.

Linda spots some goats up ahead at the next pullout.

Views of Lake Minneawanka.

Two Jack Lake.

Divers in the water at Two Jack Lake.

Here are the goats that were attracting attention.

Look, a whole family. A mom, pop and a kid.

More photos of those goats.

Also in the Minneawanka Loop was this open field of flowers with the mountain backdrop.
