THERESA AND SHARON'S VISIT TO ALBERTA - TOURING DOWNTOWN

THERESA AND SHARON'S VISIT TO ALBERTA - TOURING DOWNTOWN

We came upon this iron horse while walking down 8th Ave S.W. downtown.

We passed by this metal man on the way to find some food.

After a nice lunch to fill our famished tummies we stopped over at the Devonian Gardens. It is on the 4th floor and covers about 1/4 of an acre of space. Theresa poses for a picture. See the turtles behind her in pond?

Turtles live here along with the fish.

Flowers, statues and a channel of water with fish in it as well awaits visitors.

Theresa again poses for a picture. The doors behind her lead to the food court. A Chinese couple were here earlier taking wedding pictures.

Sharon prepares to take a photo of Theresa as well. "Smile!"

The many faces of Sharon. People have so many expressions so it takes a number of photos before you really get to see who they are.

"This is "IT" speaking!" Sharon turned her head away from the camera being camera shy, but that just made for this unusual photo of an Adam's Family character!

A pond on the other side of Devonian Gardens.

Theresa was excited to find this scenic spot. Her eyes light up.

Theresa poses among the flowers on the water.

Theresa again. We did a lot of walking so far and much more yet to come little did they know as we toured downtown on foot.

Two more faces on the walls in the gardens.

These statues were right behind the Bay Store on 8th Ave. Theresa and Sharon pose. A Calgary Stampede neon sign is behind them.

After we left Devonian Gardens, took the last photo, we headed over the Calgary Tower. They have a new glass floor installed to freak you out looking down.

The view from the tower under the glass where Sharon is sitting. Yikes! (Not a big deal for a lady who has done sky diving in the past!)

The view from the tower. The saddledome is at the right.

We walked along 9th Ave towards 3st S.W. to see this Calgary Stampeder cowboy on this old train on display. We were heading now to the Eu Claire market market shops and to Princess Island Park.

Theresa and her cows.

We walked along Princess Island Park as we now were making our way to the hair salon where Linda was working. She would be giving us a ride home. I was making my mean lasagna for supper tonight.
