TREK TO CROWSNEST PASS - THE MOVE

TREK TO CROWSNEST PASS - THE MOVE

We rented a Uhaul truck for the move. Thank goodness that I was now on a week of vacation as this move was a real grunt. The truck pickup time was at 2 pm leaving part of the day missing. I worked to get everything together in the meantime. We arrived at 11:30 pm at the house so I parked the truck here overnight for the next day to unload it.

It was a 17 ft. truck filled right to the top and across as well. Now comes the fun part, unloading it, just the two of us. My good neighbour came home later on and helped with some of the bulky pieces.

Looking out from the kitchen window, we find something unusual. This guy is hooked onto a boom.

I zoomed in a bit for a closer look.

It looks kind of odd to see this at first.

As it turns out, he is a tree trimmer. The things you see out your window.

And in this corner weighing not too many pounds is the desk in the living room which will soon have the brochures of what there is to do in the area for visitors who rent this place.

From the living room looking into the family room, you can see that there is not a lot a space. We have the couches facing each other and you could see the T.V. from either room this way.

And even around the corner lets you watch T.V. Linda relaxes here for a bit after our tiring move. We put the loveseat here which gives you great views from either window. Linda's installed candle lamp is above.

A closer look at the loveseat and the wolf blanket.

We came across a good deal on this cute item for the couch.

And now the couch and loveseat in the livingroom. The walls are still pretty bare at this point.

Off to the corner of the master bedroom, I have a desk and LOTS of information on what to see when you travel. I will be planning the 2006 BiG trip from here. This house will be travel themed when completed. I have yet now to file the information into filing cabinents, which is next on the list for the next weekend trip out.

A queen size bed with plenty of drawers to the left. Well, this is a temporary bed from our camping trip across the country sitting on a waterbed frame. We need to get a mattress to replace the waterbed mattress.

And this room gets a T.V. with a VCR as well.

Linda worked really hard on this bathroom. It looks much better than what we had originally started with.

And this is the bed in the smaller bedroom.

Well, the big move was done and now many little things were left to do for future trips. The place is coming together little by little. Now to go through my negatives and photos of past trips to prepare many frames to nail up on the walls next trip.
