Calgary to Outlook, Saskatchewan August, 2001

The scenery for the most part is that of fields and rolling hills. The trip takes about 6 hours to complete.
Visit my Travel To Alberta website for pictures of the Drumheller stretch.

Arrived safely in Outlook, Saskatchewan.

This trestle in Outlook seems to be a smaller version of the one in Lethbridge, Alberta. The trestle is no longer in use.

Another view of the trestle.

And yet one other view of the trestle.

Every town in Saskatchewan seems to have a grain elevator!

I found this picturesque barn on the way to Kenaston.

An old schoolhouse by the highway.

It is a long open road when you travel the Saskatchewan highways.

Ahhh... finally arrived at Kenaston, a side trip a bit further east of Outlook, Saskatchewan.

Kenaston is the Blizzard Capital of Saskatchewan.... ?Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

The Wandering Hobo poses for a picture! I was here... see????

Well, that was my short trip to Saskatchewan. It would be nice to do a much longer trip. I had been thinking of I wonder what life would be like as a snowbird going far south every winter. I always wanted to travel down to Texas and Arizona where the snowbirds hang out. And what about that Texas travel guide from the hospital on the Winnipeg trip? I started to look at my next vacation time at the end of the year where i put them last March.
