Gary's Visit to Calgary - July, 1999

On this page, we will visit Banff, Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Lake Moraine and Lake Louise.

Okay, we had the fog lift like a curtain showing off the mountains. The gondola ride to the top revealed the snow capped mountains making them really scenic!

We come along this little snowman that someone had built.

Lake Moraine. This lake was used for the backs of the older Canadian dollars.

We stop at Lake Louise. This is the Chateau.

That background mtn is called the Big Beehive because of it's shape. You could hike up to the top of it as there are two trails to get there for an incredible view.

And of course Gary stops for a picture pose. I would dare him as i know that water is ice cold!

It was getting dark as we left. I remember seeing the snow capped mountains just glowing as we drove by them. Such a majestic sight so what started out as crappy weather was actually superb in the end as it made the day trip so different in the end because of the high altitude snowfall. And that was Gary and Sharon's adventure in Alberta. Life is about making memories and in my case sometimes helping others to create some great memories being the tour guide. I knew that my travels have just begun. I go back to the story with my ex. Always her way or the highway! Well, after the divorce i could pick the highway and did. I wanted to see N. America and I have a passion for road tripping and so the adventures continue... I had a week off and knew a lady who needed someone to drive a uhaul truck and trailer down to Palm Springs, California. I volunteered and the next adventure unfolds...
