TREK TO FLORIDA - DAY 30B - Sunday, May 11, 2003

KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA TO SAVANNA, GEORGIA

Well, with sadness, the time had come to say goodbye to Kissimmee, Florida. Leaving at 7 am with 47,166 kms on the car. Headed up hwy 192E to hwy 441N to Ocala, Florida then on hwy 40E to Silver Springs, Florida. I visited Silver Springs, Florida for a stopover. Then continued on hwy 40E to hwy 17N to Jacksonville, Florida and took the I-95 to the Georgia border. I found the cheapest gas at $1.19 of my entire trip. Then off to Savanna to find a Walmart stop for the night.

How did he get that ball of foil to rise and fall? There were no strings holding it. He had it climb out of a drinking glass and float around as well. Amazing!

Another boat ride down the river.

We passed birds, monkeys, zebras and more along this river adventure.

This must be a rare pose. A turtle chin rest!

Look at the flock of turtles!

On this third boat ride we stop at this spot where this fellow looks after animals on the mend.

He had been working with this hawk.

And also this vulture.

And then before closing, I was able to take this safari ride.

And came across this giant turtle. Also passed the remains of the set where the original Tarzan movie was made. Too bad that a passing hurricane had destroyed it some years ago.

Hey Marvin, your new firetruck!

I watched this animal for some time.

Very interesting.

And it gets more interesting!

And it gets yet more interesting! Indeed! This is my favorite picture of the day! A ghostly image!
