TREK TO FLORIDA - DAY 13 - Thursday, April 24, 2003

MOBILE, ALABAMA TO FANNING SPRINGS, FLORIDA

43,839 kms now. Leaving Mobile, Alabama via I-65S to I-10E to Hwy 98E to Alt 98E along the sea shore returning to Hwy 98E to Florida state line. Passing through Pensacola Bay and stopped at Navarre Park, 74 F now and looking at white sands. Saw multi colors in the water at Panama City, Florida. I took Alt 98E, the beach route. Saw some orange trees now. At the Tyndall Air Force base, I saw military aircraft flying every few minutes. Noticed a BiG long black snake on the road. Crossed a long bridge at Magnolia Bluff, Florida. I noticed guns in pick up trucks, not the fishing poles that fill gun racks here in Canada. I took Hwy 319N to Tallahassee, Florida and Hwy 363S to Hwy 98E and Hwy 98S. I crossed the Suwanne river and ended up snoozing the night away in a 24hr Walmart lot in Fanning Springs, Florida.

The sun was going down.

Well, time to call it a night and head for somewhere to sleep the night away. I drove for many more miles than I really wanted to this night ending up in Maryville, Tennessee.
