42,225 kms racked up now. 9:00 am and a slow start out. I took Hwy 19E to Hwy 80S and onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then went through Twin Tunnels. Saw Mt. Mitchell which is the highest point in North Carolina. Had fog and it was very cool. Past through the Ashville watershed. Many more tunnels were along the parkway. I then took Hwy 276S which was really windy travelling along it. Found a place called "Sliding Rock" and "Looking Glass Falls". At Twin Falls was the South Carolina state line. At West Union, I took Hwy 28N and stopped in at the Ocanee County Library to do my emails in Walhalla, South Carolina. I took Hwy 64W and saw Bridle Veil Falls. Past through Cullasaga River Gorge and no 18 wheelers or large Rvs were venturing down this highway. Noticed a strong sulphur smell in the air. (Outside the car, not inside...LOL) I took Hwy 23N onto the Blue Ridge Parkway and through more tunnels too Hwy 441N through the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The roads had chips out of the asphalt in need of repair. At Gatlinburg, Tennessee I noticed that it was quite the tourist town to say the least. I stopped in to dine at Shoneys in Pigeon Forge, another touristy town. I found a quiet side street in downtown Maryville, Tennessee to crash out for the night.
Goin' down to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Well, time to call it a night and head for somewhere to sleep the night away. I drove for many more miles than I really wanted to this night ending up in Maryville, Tennessee.
