COAST TO COAST ROAD TRIP ACROSS CANADA - DAY 8

COAST TO COAST ROAD TRIP ACROSS CANADA - DAY 8

May 28, 2004 - PARKSVILLE, B.C. TO VANCOUVER, B.C.

And now today we leave for Vancouver taking the ferry from Naniamo, B.C. this time.

We pass by this small island with a marker on it.

The wake.

Linda enjoys reading her book while I run around with the cameras looking for photos.

Downtown Vancouver, B.C. off in the distance. This is a more scenic ferry ride than the one to Sydney, B.C.

Linda's hair is blowing in the wind.

Heading towards Horseshoe Bay, we pass by a sailboat.

Arriving at the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.

We take a drive into Stanley Park and Linda poses with the Lion's Gate bridge in the background.

You can find this hollow tree in the park as well.

I took a quick photo of the totem poles in Stanley Park.

Here is a horse drawn ride that you can tour the park in.

On the way to Linda's brother's place, we stop in Queen Elizabeth Park.

Linda gets on the phone to call her brother to let him know that we are almost on their doorstep now.

A photographer statue tries to push Linda out of his way.

And she tries to push him away too.

But Linda gets into the group photo anyways.

An overview of the park. It was pretty barren as nothing much had been planted as yet.

Now over to the duck pond to see what's up.

We found a pigeon at the duck pond.

The ducks were ducking under the water in their search for food leaving their tail feathers exposed.

We enjoyed a great visit with Jeff and Ruth that night.
