Using Parksville, B.C. as our home base, we take a drive up to Campbell River, B.C. and return to Parksville seeing the sights further up the island.
Qualicum Beach, B.C. lies just north of Parksville, B.C. It is a retirement community.
Linda goes looking for sea shells in this park north of Qualicum Beach. I think the park is called Oyster Park.
She has success in finding some nice shells.
We found an eye catching billboard and took a picture of part of it.
We see an interesting park called Seawalk and stop for some pictures.
There are a number of wood carvings in this park.
Here is a head carving.
And here are more carvings on one post.
This is one interesting carving. What is it???
Look ma, no hands!
Bears.
We drove around in town and found this lumberjack.
Once we finished in Campbell River, we then headed south again along the main hwy and enjoyed the flowers along the road in bloom.
These flowers were beside a field of tree stumps making for an interesting photo.
We returned to the camp base. Next on the list now was to head off to Tofino tomorrow and see the west coast.
