COAST TO COAST ROAD TRIP ACROSS CANADA - DAY 4

COAST TO COAST ROAD TRIP ACROSS CANADA - DAY 4

May 24, 2004 - VICTORIA, B.C. LAYOVER

Victoria Day. It was so fitting to be in Victoria, B.C. as they celebrated. The parade downtown made us detour. We saw a McDonald's train driving along the road as we travelled. I wonder if it was part of the parade at some point. It is not everday that you see a train driving down the road. And today was the day I could get some new eyeglasses made up finally.

Plasterman. Put some money in this mime's bucket and see what he does. I have it recorded on the movie camera as well.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! They were firing off these canons. I ran to make sure that I could get it on the movie camera and this still shot for the website.

Linda's favorite mime I think. He had a whirring sound as he mechanically moved. Very entertaining.

I got this photo of Linda and the mime together after he did some interesting antics for the movie camera.

This Humbolt House caught our eye as we walked back to the car.

Mile Zero in Victoria B.C. This is the offical starting point of our drive across Canada.

We travel to Sooke and up the hwy to Jordan River and get this photo and headed back to town.

We found unusual wording on this sign.

Tenting close to Victoria. There were many noisy drinkers in this campground. Well, this was night number 2 in Victoria and time now to pack up and head up the island to explore places where we have never been before.
