COAST TO COAST ROAD TRIP ACROSS CANADA - DAY 2

COAST TO COAST ROAD TRIP ACROSS CANADA - DAY 2

May 22, 2004 - CASTLEGAR, B.C. TO VANCOUVER, B.C.

Well, the sun came up and we got up as well. I could not find my glasses and when I did, they had fallen from were I had set them and were somewhat twisted. I tried to straighten them and oOps, they broke. Oh great and only day 2 of the adventure. We tried to get them fixed but no luck as they would have to be sent out. We needed an eye glass place that could do them up on the spot so we taped them up with some black tape that we purchased at a dollar store and I would look like a geek now til we got into Victoria, B.C. Such was life!

Still heading west on hwy 3, we come to a very scenic overlook of Osoyoos, B.C. before we descend the mountain into town.

Manning Park. This bear looks like he is itching his behind on the sign!!!

The Hope Slide, near Hope, B.C. My ex brother in law apparently had a friend who was a trucker who got caught in this slide years ago while trucking through the area.

Linda poses at the Hope Slide.

Bridal Falls just west of Hope, B.C. A photographer is seen in the photo.

Bridal Falls. I am here wearing my geeky glasses with the electrical tape holding them together.

Well, we made it into Vancouver where we stayed at Linda's brother and sister in law's apartment. (Jeff and Ruth) Jeff was away camping with the youth group at his church so Ruth got to host us that night. We planned to stay just one night and stay a few nights on the return trip back from Vancouver Island. I knew that I would have to keep my geeky glasses for another day. Oh well, had to just live with it.
