Flowery highways everwhere on my travels.

Welcome to Alaska just this side of the border crossing.

This is what the highway looked like as you cross Canadian customs into the Yukon and the most northly border crossing too.

I stopped for a picture here.

And took a second shot framed differently.

I wonder how many confused motorists this sign caused?

Welcome to Dawson City. I found this at a rest stop before you descend a big hill into town.

Looking down into Dawson City, Yukon.

A second view of Dawson City, Yukon.

When you got to the bottom of the hill, I was surprised to find a ferry waiting. I just made it onto this run as the last car that would fit.

Gold Dredge #4 close to Dawson City, Yukon.

I panned for gold here with all these other folk. The lady from Parks Canada said that one lucky panner a week ago had two nuggets in her pan. Luck of the draw I guess. I will have to return here one day with a gold finder detector.

It says welcome but he don't look too friendly. I found him in the middle of nowhere. I thought that you would see this only in the movies.

Some of the areas had turned to autumn colors already.

I caught a rainbow in this shot.

And noticed this rainbow in a burnt out area.

And then I reframed it a little bit differently.

A nice view beside a lake.
